When I was the iklest of iklboos I was (apparently) asleep in my cot when a moth flew in my parents' bedroom. Mum is terrified of moths and thought it would 'get' me.
Dad dutifully gets a newspaper to swat the moth and climbs on a chair to whack it one as it lands on the curtains.
The curtain rail breaks and the curtains tumble to the ground
Dad is stood on a chair in front of the window, in the altogether, brandishing a newspaper
Mrs so-and-so across the street is just retiring to bed and closing her bedroom curtains......

Didn't see anything about the window on the second story. Which bit was that on?
It mentions a front window, but it's not clear if that was a window to the floor. If it wasn't then they are just saying seeing his top half there confirms that he was naked. Which isn't at issue anyway as that's perfectly normal at home. Even if it was full length one might assume that he would pass it going back and forth to the kitchen.

I don't have any full length windows here. As I said my neighbours would have to stand on a chair to see me before they were so offended they had to call the police. (I hope the don't try it because under current laws they could fall off and sue me for causing them to get up there )

I used to live in a place though where the kitchen had full length glass. It was on the fourth floor, but anyone with a cheap pair of biniculers could have seen me. I had no way to ensure that anyone who did was over 18. I should be taken out and shot!
