Keith Floyd has died

I always liked his programmes and I was just watching Keith on Keith on Channel 4 last night..

well, Keith would be proud of my efforts tonight!
evening meal cooked and several glasses of wine drunk in the process.

will never forget him trying to cook some meat on a car's engine whilst driving

i watched that thing last night.blimey!it really upset and angered me last night for personal reasons but at this news.

Stirred up a few odd emotions when watching the programme (last night) after hearing the news. Bought Floyd on Fish years ago, possibly one of my first cookery books, used to do a few things from there as a student. Really enjoyed the programmes and especially FOF and the Stranglers music.

Yes its he died but you could say it was coming to him and at times he must have been really difficult to live with, hence the reminders from people in my own life who seemed quite similar in many ways (but not as talented a cook).

RIP though - he did much to bring a real sense of joy to cooking!

SexyDomesticatedDad that's exactly how i felt it was the scene at dinner with his dd that i found particularly hard to watch.

Oh dear

Hope they aren't cremating him though, he'll go up like a brandy soaked pudding! Am very fond of his 'have a little slug while cooking' ideas
