OH MY GOD!!!!!!!
Imagine how those parents must feel?

hmc · 10/08/2009 23:27

Unbelievable

kitkatqueen · 10/08/2009 23:37

Well He must really be a fighter!!! Fingers crossed for him and his family...

ideasplz · 10/08/2009 23:40

happy for the parents really and good luck to them.
such news always make me rethink about organ donation in general.
i dont know exactly how organ donation works but if they take the body immediately after death for organ tranfer then there wont be a revival chance.

AitchTwoOh · 10/08/2009 23:43

'always makes you think'? yes, because this happens very often.

amazing story, 500g, my god he's so tiny. dd was 1800 i think and looked miniscule. (weird that i don't know how much she weighed, or when she was born. it was pretty much a blur. )

SparklyGothKat · 10/08/2009 23:58

my DD2 was 1400gms and so small so can't imagine how tiny this little one is, but wow

bellabelly · 11/08/2009 00:02

Oh wow - the parents' feelings must be all over the place. Hope he makes it.

mummylin2495 · 11/08/2009 12:34

i have been searching for an update on this little baby ,but no luck so far.

Oh my word......no matter what the outcome for this little baby is - and I really, really hope it is a good outcome......his family will never get over the shock. I think they will all have to have psychiatric help. I know from personal experience that their emotions will be very raw and they will crave respect and explanations from the hospital staff.

morningpaper · 11/08/2009 12:55

baby died very sad

cornsillk · 11/08/2009 13:00

That's heartbreaking.

misdee · 11/08/2009 13:05

''such news always make me rethink about organ donation in general.

shall i explain?

organ donation genereally only happens in the event of brain death. TWO docs and TWO brain stem tests are done, at seperatly times. once brain death is confirmed and family consulted and goodbyes all done, will the organs be collected.

maybe this will make you rethink it again

cheesesarnie · 11/08/2009 13:05

oh my god.so sad and chilling.

misdee · 11/08/2009 13:06

and may the baby rest in peace, its so sad and tragic.

mummylin2495 · 11/08/2009 13:10

oh i am so sad to read that ,i had hoped they would be able to keep him alive.Thankyou for finding the update. How awful for his parents to go through all the different emotions in a few days.RIP little baby boy.

Imagine having to go through all that grief twice

Arewenearlythereyet2009 · 12/08/2009 17:59

That makes me feel funny inside, truely shocking.

Yes shootfromthehip, that is so so sad. I wonder if the 4 hours delay made a difference. Bless his little soul.
