Shocking! Not just knees, but naked knees

TDiddyIsaMan · 23/07/2009 23:01

Hmm, I wonder whether I would see EM in RL and say, shite look at those ugly knees? hmm

OP posts:
TDiddyIsaMan · 23/07/2009 23:02

..yes, it's the knees that are stopping me asking her out; shame

whomovedmychocolate · 23/07/2009 23:03

Although that is a very unflattering photo of Melanie Griffiths - I did think that was an elephant leg for a sec. My knees are really smooth - I guess I have five years before I am devastated by my skin flopping downwards?

HolyGuacamole · 23/07/2009 23:04

It's ridiculous isn't it? Elle McPherson is stunning and all they can say is that she has old knees and how much of a plight it is. Grrr!

You might get away with it whomoved; saggy knee syndrome is a cruel and distressing affliction that can randomly strike any woman over 40.

TDiddyIsaMan · 23/07/2009 23:08

I wonder what the Bruce WIllis' or Al Pacino's knees looks like? Well not really but you know what I mean.

Whomoved: smooth knees and brains all on one woman?

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

TheCrackFox · 23/07/2009 23:55

DS1 (8yrs) saw this earlier and said I had legs just like Elle McPherson...........

only fatter.

On balance, I will take it as a compliment.

kathyis6incheshigh · 23/07/2009 23:58

Didn't the DM do a courageous and important expose of Nigella Lawson's knees a few months back?

TDiddyIsaMan · 23/07/2009 23:59

bending legs is fine esp. if look like EM. Couldn't resist it, sorry.

They're right there aren't they - God love 'em, at the cutting edge of journalism

TDiddyIsaMan · 24/07/2009 00:02

MNers should run a "don't read the DM" campaign thread asking MNers to sign and then email the editor the link?

OP posts:
kathyis6incheshigh · 24/07/2009 00:03

These things are always in the women's pages of course - written by women, for women.
The question is, can we blame women for this, or is there some male editor barking 'Knees! Old women have f*cking awful knees! I want you to get out there and do me 500 words on them!'

hmc · 24/07/2009 00:03

I've just looked at my own knees (aged 41)...they are a tad fleshy but indistinguishable from a 30 year olds I would say [preen]

Snort! - what am I doing ??!??

MN had a lot of SwineFlu power. And R4 keeps referring to MN as a reference. Perhaps one day it will exert some power on DM.

harpsichordcarrier · 24/07/2009 00:10

I once saw EM in the street and she was like a goddess, really, not like a human being at all

harpsichordcarrier · 24/07/2009 00:11

oh and there WAS an mn reference in the DM today (I was reading it in MacDonalds )
Esther RAntzen referring to PFBs

harpsichordcarrier · 24/07/2009 00:14

PFBs

TDiddyIsaMan · 24/07/2009 00:16

Harps- hmm, so they know who they are messing with...
