Appeal over mystery 'piano man'!

here

How strange - and ever sadder is apparently the secure mental health unit he's now held in doesn't have a piano - yet it seems to be his only 'way' to of communicating!

OMG Lisalisa! and I thought that my idea of the piano man being a disabled person dumped by family/carers that may have had too much in their plate was far fetched and improbable.... (though it sadly happens in some places in this planet)

Marina · 18/05/2005 13:36

lisalisa, not a David Bowie fan are you?

Tinker · 18/05/2005 13:39

Oh, lisalisa, that's going to have me chuckling all day.

teeavee · 18/05/2005 14:29

htis story was on french news the other night - maybe to see whether anyone recognised him?
would make a great film, this....

omg, I think that's a fabulous idea, lisa He does look rather angelic and other-worldly...

katierocket · 18/05/2005 15:12

lisa - i reckon you need to ring the news of the world with that theory, they'll probably love it!

You have put the image in my mind of a line of green aliens all wearing dinner suits with mini grand pianos in front of them, winking at me like bobby Crush - just waiting to fall to earth.

katierocket · 18/05/2005 15:15

ah, I think it's great, I'm only joking BTW, it's a cute idea

colditz · 18/05/2005 15:29

He's very sweet looking isn't he. He has incredibly sad eyes.

flum · 18/05/2005 15:30

I think its a publicity stunt. bet he's trying to get into show biz by an unorthadox route

Cadbury · 18/05/2005 15:34

I can fairly safely say that that isn't the case. I think it's most likely tht he is autistic and something has happened to his carer (like a parent dying) or his family just can't cope and have abandonned him

flum · 18/05/2005 15:36

mmmmm

pinkmagic1 · 18/05/2005 15:53

I hope someone recognises him, he looks so sad, poor man.

Gwenick · 18/05/2005 16:05

I doubt that VERY much, but if it was then he deserves an oscar - 5, nearly 6 weeks without uttering a word, being nervous and agitated when people approach him without 'forgetting', .............would take quite some 'hoaxer' to do that

not the french mime artist . Mr Camp sounds a bit clueless. He's definitely decided he's had some massive trauma when I still think they should be checking other avenues......

Mud · 19/05/2005 08:53

Why can't they give him a piano???

I am so shocked that they can't give him access to a piano

I find that upsetting and applaing

Jimjams · 19/05/2005 09:16

it shouldn't be that difficult should it mud.....

Fio2 · 19/05/2005 09:32

All people wander aimlessly on the beach at Minster on the Isle of Sheppey

poor bloke

I'm not the only person who thinks he's autistic autistics themselves do.

Gwenick · 20/05/2005 21:45

I thought he had a keyboard in his room?

Keyboard no substitue for piano IMO - even a cheap and ancient upright would be better than an electric keyboard.

Gwenick · 21/05/2005 00:07

at last some has started to think about how to help him. He's been given an upright piano put in his room, and they're "considering" using music and art therapy to try and communicate with him...............hmmm shame they did ask for our advice - we suggested that days ago!!!

Lets just hope they find out who he is soon

he does kind of look like mr nobody doesn't he? Although should be easy to confirm/disprove as mr nobody's fingerprints were taken....
