21% of the 19% born to women over 25 isn't 1 in 5

There is a massive report out this week, which I suspect is more influential on setting the newspapers agenda than an MN thread, TBH

I read (somewhere on MN today) that approximately 3 - 4 % of all births are to women aged over 40.

mp - I'm sure the RCOG report was the basis for the article. But I suspect that the journo added some 'colour' to her story by reading the thread. Just too many similarities IMO

I love the DM, it's just so...so... outraged all the time, so judgey and often just such shoddy journalism... but then I have to go and cleanse myself by reading a worthy.
