That is so sad, that family should be having the happiest days of their lives but instead they are having the worst.

What a sad story.
Poor family.

helsbels4 · 15/06/2009 20:56

Oh bless him and the poor family. That is so terribly tragic

Stayingsunnygirl · 15/06/2009 21:34

That is very sad news. I was at the Royal Alexandra Hospital just this evening, and the press were there.

dizzydixies · 15/06/2009 21:38

RAH staff haven't had the easiest time recently with last year's involvement with the Glasgow Airport bombing and then this

bargainhuntingbetty · 15/06/2009 21:41

That is so sad. When I heard about the mother dying I tought 'that is so sad but at least the family have the baby she will live on in and they will have the baby to ease it slightly for them' this is so tragic. Poor, poor family

Tortoise · 15/06/2009 21:42

How very sad. The poor family.

whomovedmychocolate · 15/06/2009 21:44

How awful I wonder how early he was.

It's a shame in a way they can't say what type of health problems the mum had - I'm sure a lot of pregnant women out there are terrified wondering if it's a complication they could have and then contract flu. Obviously the family has a right to privacy and they seem to have waived that in some ways to let her name be released but it'd be perhaps reassuring if she had a massively rare problem which was unlikely to affect many others.

Wigglesworth · 15/06/2009 21:45

How terrible, may God bless them and their family, my heart goes out to them, what an awful time.

Tortoise · 15/06/2009 21:47

WMMC Report says 11 weeks early.

bigstripeytiger · 15/06/2009 21:48

It says here that she may have had a stroke:

whomovedmychocolate · 15/06/2009 21:50

Ah missed that bit Tortoise - thank you. That's really early isn't it? In preemie terms I mean - 29 weeks?

Bigstripeytiger - thanks for that - a stroke - but she was only 38! I guess it does happen though.

Poor children left behind (and her partner of course)

bargainhuntingbetty · 15/06/2009 21:51

My dh has just said that he heard she had suffered strokes.

MaggieTulliver · 16/06/2009 08:06

Heartbreaking

Doyouthinktheysaurus · 16/06/2009 08:18
