Question for BNP luvvies

The largest car factory in the UK is owned by Nissan (Japanese).

Harrods is owned by an Eygptian

LDV was nearly saved by Malaysians

British Steel was taken over by the Dutch to become Corus and is now a subsidiary of Tata group which is Indian owned and based in India.

Many banks, finance institutions and pharmaceutical giants are foreign owned, Thomson Travel owned by the Germans, the trains, electricity and most of the street-cleaning in London are supplied by the French.

So BNP luvvies, if you don't want foreigners in your country, what are you going to do about the foreign ownership of British businesses because without foreign money, leadership, management, vision, creativity and discipline, many British people would be unemployed?

As the BNP are quite vocal in our area, always writing in our local newspaper about bollocks politics, I was suprised that as there have been quite a few Polish migrants settle over the years, that the BNP didn't go into one about it. It was only until some of the local populus harped on about the Polish taking their jobs, etc that the BNP jumped on the bandwagon.

This is how they have got their vote. They aren't bothered whether or not Polish people are around or not - as they are white but they couldn't be seen as being hypocrites, even though they are the biggest hypocrites going..

Now Spokette, have I ever said the BNP were not racist? No.

Disscussing national identity and immigration though is not racist. But if the only people doing it are the BNP, who else do people turn to for debate? That's the danger.

And I think they have a pretty anti-semetic following too - plenty of white skins in that demographic.

And lets not forget their latest announcement on women. This is much more complex than mear skin colour. They may use it to rabble rouse, but their actual targets and strategies are much more sohisticated.

Perhaps this is the most important issue... www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZ4ZM-cDid0 btw my friends and I worked out that just about all of us British Passport holders would qualify for repatriation! (my dad is Irish, bf parents from Pakistan, other friend mum has romany gypsy heritage, dh grandma was Jewish etc etc)
Thought Nicky Campbell on R5live did a great job and subtely making Griffin looking like the hate filled nazi he and his cronies are.

ruddynorah · 10/06/2009 20:14

monkey- have you seen this? it rather explains the shift from talking like nazis to talking about identity.. a lot of people have been sucked in.

monkeytrousers · 10/06/2009 20:34

yeah I know what they do - but it still does not change the fact that there is a vast middle ground to discuss these things in.

Using the racist card only shuts debate down, which is the opposite of what you want.

cory · 11/06/2009 19:38

and those of you who are not racist but voted BNP just to make a point about immigration- do you suppose the BNP are going to respect your convictions?

cory · 11/06/2009 19:39

clarification: don't mean "you" as in "you people on this thread", but as in "you people out there who claim you are not racist but still voted BNP"

onagar · 11/06/2009 19:44

I didn't vote BNP but would like there to be a proper debate on immigration.

I can't really speak for those who did vote BNP, but if it was a protest vote surely it wouldn't be the BNPs reaction they cared about, but the mainstream parties who would see their votes slipping away.

Recommendation 7

The DCSF should bring forward proposals to change the current regulatory and statutory basis to ensure that in monitoring the efficiency and suitability of elective home education:

That designated local authority officers should:

  • have the right of access to the home;
  • have the right to speak with each child alone if deemed appropriate or, if a child is particularly vulnerable or has particular communication needs, in the company of a trusted person who is not the home educator or the parent/carer.

In so doing, officers will be able to satisfy themselves that the child is safe and well.

*That a requirement is placed upon local authorities to secure the monitoring of the effectiveness of elective home education as determined in Recommendation 1.

*That parents be required to allow the child through exhibition or other means to demonstrate both attainment and progress in accord with the statement of intent lodged at the time of registration.

monkeytrousers · 11/06/2009 19:47

Are their people who vote BNP but then claim they don't support racism? You vote BNP, you supporting racism - and a lot more - end of.

There were two viable choices before BNP - first off voting conseervative and second they could have voted UKIP. iT's not like the had no option.

SolidGoldBrass · 11/06/2009 19:52

I must admit I have been wondering today why the BNP haven't been trying a new vote-winning strategy of being Touch On Peedafils ie 'VOte BNP, we will castrate them all and there will be a weekly lottery to win the chance to wield the rusty scissors yourself. But you have to vote BNP to win!'

Do you think that's too intelligent a scheme for them to have worked out? (Ie that their alleged new target audience of discontented white knuckledraggers with a sentimental streak can easily be whipped up to an utterly brainless state of obedient hysteria by a bit of peedo-panicm and though they wouldn't call themselves racist exactly blah blah...)
Or do they just not particularly care about abused children?

Fillyjonk · 11/06/2009 19:58

wrong thread sorry

monkeytrousers · 11/06/2009 20:07

I think you should test that hypothesis Solid. Start a rabble rousing thread!

monkeytrousers · 11/06/2009 20:07

really
