I think they are fed up with the current crop of politicians But politics itself is fascinating!

Benign dictatorship. But has the obv disadvantages of no-one living/retaining their mental faculties forever.

And presumably the concept of "benign" is subjective in this context.

I'm with Nylon on this! Apparently some people are calling for Suralan as PM - look at all the other popluar figures who've hit the big time - Boris Johnson, Arnie, Kilroy Silk etc ...
And am I right in thinking that Esther Ransan was putting herself forward for her local seat? Why stop there? what about the guy who used to answer the letters on That's Life or the dog who said "sausages"

How about picking people like jury service to be MPs. I'm not sure people would like that much, but the last thing you want in parliment are people who really want to be there.

It would be ok in that case to pay them really well as the money wouldn't be the reason they were there.
