James Purnell (Work and Pensions sec) has just resigned.... and seems to be calling for a leadership election.

Wonder if this will be the last straw?

Brown is now odds on with the bookies to quit this month.

I'd rather he stay and lose the election by a landslide.

Odds are shortening all the time. Looks like he's toast.
