Me & dh

I would have if my local MP wasn't such a waste of space. Can't stand and don't trust TB and really hope his majority is completely slashed.

ladymuck · 05/05/2005 23:08

Hadn't meant to confuse - yes I did vote Tory.

Gobbledigook · 05/05/2005 23:09

Me!

And dh

And my Dad

And my MIL

And my FIL

And my SIL

And my Nan

And my Grandad

And dh's Nan

alibubbles · 06/05/2005 11:18

I did too, so did DD (postal vote as at Uni in Paris, and DH did.

Some one nicked our sign from thre garden, scoured the lane tyo see if it had been dumped. It was returned last night and dropped in the middle of our drive, wierd or what!!

We returned a conservative MP, didn't think it would happen, but she did amazingly well, first time since 1992

Well done alibubbles - we retained Con but with a bigger majority this time

zebraX · 06/05/2005 12:42

MH just announced that he is standing down... I'm really surprised. No I don't like him, but he has been a very good leader for the Tories. I can't see anybody else being as good as he has been.

zebraX · 06/05/2005 12:42

Ann Widecombe now in R-5-Live being interviewed, I take it back, I think she could be a good leader.

Gobbledigook · 06/05/2005 12:43

I would love Ann Widdecombe!! A woman with some kick ass moves! Sort of.

bunny2 · 06/05/2005 13:32

tory for me too
shame about mh, i like him

gobbledgook

fsmail · 06/05/2005 14:48

I too voted Tory as did everybody else I know. Now we have a government with less than 25% of the UK population having voted them in making all the policies - is that right?

Gobbledigook · 06/05/2005 14:50

Nope!

Hiddentory · 06/05/2005 14:51

ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not only this time, but every time in the past and the future. That not only makes me a Tory voter, but a rabid Tory supporter too, and the laugh is, I think some people here are worried they know me!

Gobbledigook · 06/05/2005 14:52

I'm happy to know you but wish I knew who you bloody were!

Hiddentory · 06/05/2005 14:57

But in a way, Gobbledigook, you are adding to my worries. I mean, you want to know who I am because I vote Tory. I donn't see why that matters. Like me or dislike me for better reasons than how I vote. (Although I can see you must feel a sense of camaraderie with me, which I reciprocate )

Janh · 06/05/2005 15:00

fsmail, there was at least one wonderful election victory for the Tories with a smaller share of the vote than Labour (something like 12m v 13m) so I wouldn't pursue that line of argument IIWY

We have a very flawed electoral system. We need PR.

Malcolm Rifkind (Kensington & Chelsea, it just seems to sit there waiting to accommodate homeless top Tories) and John Redwood were on World at One today, it was v v weird - let's do the time warp again!

Gobbledigook · 06/05/2005 15:47

HT - it's only because you've hidden your identity that I'm curious iyswim. It's not that I'd 'behave' any differently towards you! I'm just nosey and if someone says 'I know something and I'm not telling you', then of course I'll want to know!

CountessDracula · 06/05/2005 15:50

I don't think the 25% thing is right at all. If you didn't vote you don't count so I think it should be purely the proportion of people who voted for each party that count.

Gobbledigook BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

uwila · 06/05/2005 16:23

Oh God, I can't believe this happening again, but I agree with CD that the relevant figure is the number of voters, or possibly even those who are eligible to vote.

I am part of the population, but sadly not eligible to vote. But I would most likely vote Tory if I could.

ChastityBeltWearer · 06/05/2005 16:25

would have guessed really

whoe tyhread turns into a riot

Dahlia · 06/05/2005 16:43

me and dh voted tory. and my mum did.
