A bloody disgrace. This government ought to be ashamed of themselves. Apparently government were going with court "guidelines" on immigration. What about all those that get here on the backs of lorries! Joanna Lumley looks really effed off about it. Just seen the press conference on Sky news. I think they will be reviewing again though. I hope they do win the right eventually.

I've just been looking at some of the vid clips on the Beeb website.

I think I must have missed a trick somewhere here. Who in their right minds would not believe that the Ghurkas should have the right to live in the UK if they so desire? I can't see why on earth the government would have put themselves on the opposing side of this argument for any reason ... what have I missed?

What we have learned from this is that JoJo Lummers (as Ruby Wax once called her) is not a lady to be trifled with.

If I have heard correctly on the radio, there was some fuzzy figures being bandied about about the cost that these GHurkas (and their families) would cost the govt ... all based on some huge assumptions ...

Isn't it just an argument between the Home Office and the Defence Dept and should have been resolved by the PM before it got to the state it has ...

While we are mourning the plight of the Ghurkas, perhaps it is a good time to expose the shabby treatment the Iraqi translators have also received
