So just to let y'all know that Nick Duerden himself is joining us at 12.30pm to discuss his article/book and respond to your insults comments (iPod volume and puddles of fear being some of the kinder ones ).

Well who'd have thunk it? Mumsnetters slag off a book extract from the Family Guardian in a perfectly routine way, and next thing you know we've got the wife, the publisher, the author and random nonparents joining in... Have to say, way back when we were see-sawing between blue and green colour schemes for the site we never foresaw this...
Of course we will politely enquire whether the Guardian Family section would like to submit to being taken over by Mumsnet for an issue - can't think whey they'd object, after we've all been so nice about them here . But you never know...
