My first thought was "bet she's an only child". DD1 has a good memory and can pick things up easily, but a rubbish second pregnancy and the demands of a baby have somewhat reduced the amount of time that we spend together.

My biggest bugbear with it all though is that she's now labelled for life isn't she? No pressure on her to do well in life when she's a Mensa member at two.

um (whispers) don't all 2yos do this in some form? DD can 'read' books she loves because she knows them off by heart. She also knows the words to songs DS is supposed to be learning better than as well as he does.

So what?

Is there anything more boring that a PFB with braggy parents? Am delighted to have ordinary average children and not to have the fuss of mensa-ing them...

  • I think Mensa's a load of old, wrinkly bollocks.

(apologies for that undesirable mental image)
