here. I always quite liked his history programmes, especially about the Tudors.
I notice the Welsh and Irish aren't showing national outrage at this.

He's a boring little man who thinks saying nasty things is the way to get attention.

I think hes a clever self publicist who probably feels hes being so daring and outre saying this, and striking a blow against the oppression and castration of the white middleclass english male, as well as our good old freind PC-gone-mad [grin. Sadly he reminds me of my granny who was fond of similar gestures....

theres a rather funny takedown of his comments about Henry viii's wives floating about online too - think its on the F word site? bottom line is, dont rely on anyone who trusts the 'science' of graphology

Did anyone hear him on "Go for it" last night on R4? I thought he was brilliant in talking about history to kids without dumbing it down or being patronising.
