In my local paper and news today a womwn went to her local a&e as she was preg and bleeding, she waited 4 hours for a gynocoligist and when he came he told her her unborn baby was dead. She got upset so he told her he would leave her for a minute.
When he came back she asked him if the baby had died the week before as she had been bleeding heavily then and he said no because she hadn't been clotting then as she was now and that there was also product in her blood - she asked him to explain this and he told her parts of the baby - she was devistated. She was due to go for a scan the next day because of the previouse weeks bleeding but could not bear to go but went on the Friday where she was told by the midwife that her baby was still alive. She went back for another sacn today and the baby is fine.
She is sueing the hospital and wants the doctor struck off.
