To be fair, I think it's been reported that they earn the same for This Morning. If she is pissed off about money at all (and it could just be ITV making her look bad) it is because she isn't getting as many presenting opportunities from ITV, so she's earning less overall, IYSWIM.

If you are paid the market wage, it's pretty automatic that if you don't have a penis and/ or white skin, you are worth less than someone who does.

Hence the weakness of relying on the market when it comes to equal ops.

I like Fern. I think she replied to every e-mail/letter/fax of support when the gastric band story hit. She replied to mine.

probably, wannabe, but i'm surprised that all the papers have gone with it so readily. fern is a well-known good egg, she's quite entitled to move jobs. and she's hugely entitled to feel pissed off about the fact that he's earning more money than her for doing the same job. i'd have expected some of them to run the ITV story, but others to go more along the lines of 'fern getting screwed'.

They're paid the same for This Morning - Philip earns more as he presents other things for ITV.

She is paid an obscene amount of money and should consider herself lucky.
