Just saw that too.

RIP.

Poor woman. I know she's at peace now but it's tragic that her life was cut so short.

How awful for her family too, for Liam, her sons,Mother and extended family. What a shock that what seemed like a minor fall could cause this.

Alambil · 19/03/2009 00:04

oh that's sad

Northernlurker · 19/03/2009 00:05

Jaquelinehyde · 19/03/2009 00:06

I didn't realise it was so bad until I saw the news that her family had all rushed to her bedside.

pooter · 19/03/2009 00:06

oh that's awful - i was hoping that the daily mail was exaggerating and she would walk out of hospital. she seemed really nice.

upagumtree · 19/03/2009 00:10

How awful.

So sad for her family, especially her children. And so sudden.

JulesJules · 19/03/2009 05:56

So sad to see this on the news,

giraffescantdancethetango · 19/03/2009 06:54

How sad

Judy1234 · 19/03/2009 07:06

So sad. My daughter is working in a ski resort and they recently went, 30 of them to a difficult area in memoriam for a friend who had died in the same off piste area a month before. That's more understandable, pushing yourself to the limit off piste, courting danger because that's your personality. Just having a minor fall which you might as easily have had on the stairs at home and suffering brain injury feels so much more unexpected.

I have always told the children not to hit each other on the head which they have all done occasionally over the years as the head is such a dangerous bit to hit.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 19/03/2009 07:10

It was such a stupid and innocuous fall.

She had her first baby in Dublin in the hospital where my cousins wife was the fund raiser. They donated all the money raised at the premier of Michael Colins to the hosipital. My cousins wife said they were just the most lovely couple.

OnlyWantsOne · 19/03/2009 07:13

It's all very very sad - she was a fantastic actress

expatinscotland · 19/03/2009 07:22

That poor family.

Lulumama · 19/03/2009 07:25

terrible

PottyCock · 19/03/2009 07:26

How dreadful for her poor family - frightening.

Saltire · 19/03/2009 07:32

That is so sad and tragic. That a fall, which seemed so minor could cause the death of someone. I love Liam Neeson, and am so sorry for him and his children, and the rest of the fmaily. She always seemed like such a lovely woman

rubyslippers · 19/03/2009 07:33

awful news

ABetaDad · 19/03/2009 07:35

I am stunned at this news and feel so very sad for her husband and their young children.

About a decade ago I received a phone call totally out of the blue asking me to go to a hospital where doctors were waiting to tell me my wife was going to die. I felt my life shatter as if into a million grains of sand blown away by the wind. By some miracle my wife lived and it is a tradgedy that there was no happy ending for Natasha Richard.

Bucharest · 19/03/2009 07:38

Very sad.
Beautiful and talented, and despite the whole dynasty thing behind her, very self-effacing.
The family are all being very dignified.
A lot of pseudo-slebs could take lessons.

Betadad- so pleased for you that your outcome was different.
