I saw U2 25 years ago when they were up and coming and thought he was a short-arse waving a flag around and singing boring anthemic songs. Have yet to see anything that's made me re-think my first impression.

I listened to it on youtube and I think he's obviously joking the way George Clooney says he hates Matt Dillon and Brad Pitt; but everyone knows they're great mates etc.
