What do we make of this, when I was at school our PE teacher was extremely positive about us all coming in different shapes and sizes and being healthy and fit not thin .
Does anybody else have little girls and feel very uncomfortable about a woman who is so utterly wrapped up in her own daughters pursuit of the "ideal" female image should be teaching girls at an age where they are so body consious ?
Apologies if it's in the wrong section I just honestly wonder how some people ever get into the profession and what their collegues make of them.

It is quite weird that someone that stupid could get the qualifications to become a teacher.

Her daughter is just not pretty enough to "make it" either. [bitchy emoticon]

Melscorp · 27/02/2009 10:14

I know they say parents are blind when it comes to their children, but this is ridiculous!!

She shouldn't be allowed to be a teacher based on this stupidity!! Imagine if this shallow woman was teaching my child!!!

Sidge · 27/02/2009 21:18

She is seriously deluded if she thinks her daughter is going to make it as a top model and is prettier than Jordan.

And to end up 70 grand in debt keeping your adult daughter (who should be paying her own way) is barmy. I hope she doesn't teach maths.

FairLadyRantALot · 27/02/2009 21:33

rofl...that'll end in tears I think...mother deluded, daughter deluded and both a bit thick...well...how couldn't it end in tears...

noonki · 27/02/2009 21:35

If she taught my dcs I would have to move schools

no seriously I would.

dontgive2shoites4daftpricks · 27/02/2009 21:36

If she's had to pay nearly £70k to get her daughter modelling jobs, she's clearly not bright enough to realise that her daughter is not model material. If your face fits/you are good enough - you have people paying YOU!

HeadFairy · 27/02/2009 21:42

I think the mother is very very stupid, I'd hate her to be teaching my children. She hopes to see her daughter on the catwalks of Paris... well I hate to be really catty but a 5'6", size 10 model would never make it on a catwalk, you have to be size 6-8 max to do catwalk and 5'8" (unless you are Kate Moss who's quite short, but let's face it, that girl is no Kate Moss)

There's absolutely nothing wrong with having dreams, but so stupid of the mother to get herself in to so much debt she's going to be homeless, and the daughter is just selfish. Surely talent spotters don't look for who's got the nicest handbag, they're looking at faces and bodies (neither of which she's got)

Could we perhaps start a petition to stop page three? In a country that wants change today, I don't really see how anyone could have a strong argument against it?

If you only buy the sun for page three, then I'm sure you have internet and can view pornography in your own time without exposing others to it.

I'm tired of trying to ignore magazines and newspapers that degrade people. And are in your face in shops. Tired of the kind of men (not all men! not all men like it thankgoodness!)who relish opening them and making sexist statments.

Who delivers these papers anyway? Oh yeah, children... pretty sick really.

If you get a flasher in the park who gets gratification from anyone, men, women, children seeing them naked, we think they are perverts. But if it is a woman getting payed who isn't just in the park, but in every street corner, in the most poplular newspaper in the UK somehow, The Sun and it's readers find that acceptable. In fact that's not true as a lot of Sun readers tell me they don't buy it for page three and don't like page three.. hmmm that should provoke some thought.

Surely if the paper is that poplular, it can do without this embarressment. We are trying for children to be less sexualised by the media. Come on then The Sun newspaper, you were the first influence I ever had as a little girl of feeling humiliated and pressured because of page three. And we didn't even have it in our house! They are Calling Cameron their only hope. They are giving Cameron support, perhaps it's because they fear they'll be the next targets of him trying to make Britain more family friendly. I hope they rise to it.
