Might get in trouble for this but her goes,

Someone leant it to be last pg with dd just flicked through it, this pg picked it up again out of interest ( even though I should've known better from the title ) wondering what it had to say.

It comes out with disparaging nonsense at the best "I hate the 9 months on 9 monhts off thing, 3 to 4 months is perfectly realistic to get your shape back to how it was" ughh try 18!!

To the downright dangerous re baby sleepng positions "don't stress about this, your baby will sleep the way it sleeps" or words to that effect, yes they may roll but you put them down ON THEIR BACK

Very dismissive of women who're struggling to concieve "just have sex a lot" umm they've probably tried that love.

And loads more smug nonsense, just felt like having a rant really

I think the weight thing is unfortunate, as I remember she says in one of the chapters that she's actually been bulimic so I'm not sure that she would have the most - er - rational outlook on post pregnancy weight loss..... (so speaks I at 10 months out, fatter than I was the day that DD was born - or so it feels!)

Smug's the word, for sure. I've thrown all my 'Survival Guide' type things away, just last week. All that Yummy Mummy Fab Mother Gorgeous Girly stuff - it's really not what it's all about, is it.

I got very depressed about reading mine and finding out how she hadn't eaten anything extra for the full 9 months (and me with cake cravings for the whole third trimester) and then I realised that, yep, I should not pay any attention to someone who had an eating disorder while pregnant. She might be lovely, but she has a very unhealthy attitude to food.

It wasn't particularly helpful for someone who has a baby who will not sleep either. I just felt guilty for not wearing make up and flouncing around doing stimulating things with my baby. Actually I should have been impressed beyond belief that I was actually coping at all. I happened upon some photos from that time last night, and DH and I couldn't believe how ill I looked - really gaunt and grey.
