Hearing about it on the radio made me smell amniotic fluid, am I weird, or what!? And remember how soft newborns are.

Little boy.

I went to school with 2 Donalds.

Didn't he just look SO happy when he was shown on the news last night - you can't fake a proud smile like that........and yes I'll be voting Lib Dem, was going to anyway

only one I can think of is Donnie Munro - ex lead singer of Runrig, and would be politician - think he was a rival for Charles Kennedy seat.

my lovely dad's called Donald. I'd love to call a baby after him (esp if it was a boy ) but don't think I could do that to a baby. But with the kennedys, it kind of fits.

she was cutting it a bit fine going to that wedding on saturday wasn't she?

IRR the actual due date was polling day - so does that increase the chances that it was a fast move by Tony? Chas said he would be taking 2 weeks paternity leave - has he been seen on the campaign trail since?

Why shouldn't she go to a wedding at any time? it was only 12 miles outside London! Good for her.

Not sure I would have wanted to appear on TV within 12 hours of giving birth, like she did - my natural post-partum state at that stage would have been ghost grey complexion, DS's poo in my hair, and unable to open my mouth without stuffing in a donut as a reflex action.

I thought it was due in a couple of weeks time.

he always said he would take 2 days, I mean it has been odds on for a yr that TB would call an election this May, so I think when you're ttc which apparently the Kennedys had been for some time, you just have to take what you get a chance to take.
I had so mcuh respect for Mrs K on Saturday, I bet that was the last thing she felt like doing, tarting herelf up for a society wedding, see she wore very nice flat shoes
Clever Girl
Agree that it is lovely to see a woman in her natural state, Gwyneth Paltrow was the same, no affectation just total joy at showing off their babies!
I for one am pleased I am not famous... no one to see me leave 3 hrs after delivering dd, no papers would have sold LOL Fright night II

Mid-October press release said baby due "in April" - I imagine they would have issued that at or around 13 weeks? So due date would have been 13 - 20 April. (The press have been saying "mid-April" for the last few weeks.)

Agree with piffle about their timing - also about her appearance at the wedding - I thought she looked lovely for someone 38-39 weeks pg. Someone commented here on Saturday that they hoped she would have a chair at the reception!
