Government 'Green Advisor' calls for a two child per family limit

Hmm. I agree that people shouldn't have more children than they could adequately provide for, but I am cross that the government sees fit to dictate limits like this. The Times article also mentions abortion, and although I'm pro-choice I don't think it should be promoted as a method of contraception, which this advice seems to suggest...

What do people think?

People are bound to think of China when there is talk of trying to limit the number of children a family has, but I don't think it's relevant to the UK at all.

Kerala in India is a good case study of improved education and health services lowering the birth rate, and evidence that it is effective even in poor communities.

I wonder how many off-spring the preaching nit-wit has hiding in the background? This is just like John Major with his back to basics campaign when at the same time he was getting his leg over with Edwina Currie.

Beware of hyprocrites giving advice.

It isnt just the abortions thats the problems in China. Did anyone see the program about children (toddlers/babies) being dragged about by their mothers trying to sell them to people that wanted them!!
Theres the orphanages too. Its v sad.

Perhaps his wife could only bear to shag him twice. Pompous little fool.

What about all of those people who stick at one or two so they can afford foreign holidays every year and change their cars annually. They have a far greater footprint surely than the larger families I know with their one car and british summer holidays.

Good point puzzle. I think my parents could be included in that group of people.
I for one am going to have as many bloody kids as my pelvic floor will allow!!!
