'Right ladies, get your credit cards out, fuck it have a great Christmas because the states going to bail us out !!!!! Yippeeee '

I have to say, that's the message I'm getting from everything this Labour government has done to interfere in the market since September of this year.

Just fuck it and be irresponsible. Live it up. Buy now, never pay later.

Being prudent or a saver? They just keep cutting the interest rate and you get less return on your money.

Pay for insurance to cover you in the case taht you can't pay your mortgage? Fool! The taxpayer will bail you out.

'High' earner? Why knock yourself out to give Labour more money to bail out irresponsible lenders and borrowers and everyone else in between?

LadyMuck · 04/12/2008 13:10

Upwind, in fairness the details of the scheme seems to be sketchy. BBC stating that the cost to the taxpayer in the worst case is around £100m. As a proportion of what has been spent in Iraq that is low.

KatieDD · 04/12/2008 16:11

So if I waste £50 on shoes is that ok because I also wasted £1000 on a bag ?
To compare this situation with Iraq is madness, two wrongs don't make a right as my granny used to say.

TheCrackFox · 04/12/2008 17:15

I think Gordon is saying we can have the shoes and the bag even though your credit card is about to explode. The UK will be bankrupt at this rate.

KatieDD · 04/12/2008 17:40

It won't be the first time Fox

expatinscotland · 04/12/2008 17:47

He personifies the buy now, pay it later philosophy, because he'll be long gone when all these crock policies come home to roost.

2AdventSevenfoldShoes · 04/12/2008 18:58

I feel for the old people, now their saving will be worth even less.
think saving money these days is a waste of time.

expatinscotland · 04/12/2008 20:38

so do i, 2shoes. don't have it to save, anyhow, but why bother?

expatinscotland · 04/12/2008 21:51
