Things are looking up on the attractiveness front for the adminstration elect

OP posts:
spookycharlotte121 · 06/11/2008 12:10

obama is hot.... I wouldnt say no

pooter · 06/11/2008 12:13

i just hope he doesnt do a blair, and start out all fresh faced and morph into a haggard, tired looking old sac (ooh, have just described myself!) after a year in office. Agree, both look yummy (for politicians, who are a bit clean looking for my tastes!)

ToughDaddy · 06/11/2008 19:42

Does "office" make a man (or woman) more attractive?

ObamasPinkPussyCat · 06/11/2008 19:47

I heart Barack

Tortington · 06/11/2008 19:48

obama is a dog - are you all blind.

RE - reminds me of dr. harold abbott from everwood

ToughDaddy · 06/11/2008 20:23

i think that we would all be better looking if we were president of US.

But I like Obama- he looks unassuming, listening kind, loyal, ruthless if required without being arrogant and he is on the tall side. What more would a woman want

whomovedmychocolate · 06/11/2008 20:33

At the risk of being flayed, the chap on the right looks like he's making suggestive remarks to Obama IMHO

Doesn't float my boat in any way but then I fancy Simon Cowell so I clearly have no feckin' taste whatsoever.

To be clear ToughDaddy, it seems we like:

  • youthful, powerful looking chaps
  • bastards
  • men who arrive with chocolate
FeelingLucky · 06/11/2008 20:42

ToughDaddy - that's so not true! You'll see, Obama will lose all his youthful good looks when the stress if being Commander-in-Chief gets to him.
I think he already looks a bit tired compared to 2004.
He'll also start to look less attractive when his honeymoon period is over.

And, WMMC - not all women like men with chocolate ... makes some of us fat

whomovedmychocolate · 06/11/2008 20:47

Putting the word 'commander' in front of anyone's name raises his shaggability quotient though

beeny · 06/11/2008 20:49

I have crush on Obama and he went to Harvard

preggersplayspop · 06/11/2008 20:57

He's got a lovely voice. I heard someone on the radio say he could read out the telephone directory and make it sound interesting. I totally agree.

Suedonim · 06/11/2008 20:57

According to psychologist ds, ToughDaddy, yup. Women are programmed to look for the best provider/sire for their offspring and having power sends out those shaggability signals. Fgs, even John Prescott got himself a floosie when he was Deputy PM!

whomovedmychocolate · 06/11/2008 21:08

Suedonim - yeah but you see Prezza had chocolate (probably)

A few years ago, when I was unhappily married and somewhere I shouldn't have been I did snog someone highly unsuitable but v famous and that was a pure 'ha look at me snogging the famous guy' thing.

I cringe now when I see him on TV.

Perhaps in five years we'll be able to rib the Obamaramas in the same way?

ToughDaddy · 06/11/2008 21:10

I asked DW how tall Lewis Hamilton is and she said 6ft 2in. he is actually 5ft 8.5 in but you see he now stands tall (projected career earnings 500m).

WhomovedChoc- youthful men? I was planning to go into the role of attractive middle aged erudite silver fox.

ToughDaddy · 06/11/2008 21:12

.....I was planning to GROW into the role of attractive middle aged erudite silver fox.

beansprout · 06/11/2008 21:18

It's difficult to watch Obama without thinking of the final season of The West Wing and Santos (based on Obama) was, well, a right goer.....

whomovedmychocolate · 06/11/2008 21:20

ToughDaddy - last DH was 16 years older than me, current DH (he's a keeper sorry!) is 20 years older than me. I love the silver fox thing. Can't stand men under 50.

beansprout · 06/11/2008 21:21

Ooh same. Dh is 50 (and I am 38). Yum.

whomovedmychocolate · 06/11/2008 21:22

But you are right about the power thing - and I think it's more than power it's differentness - probably genetic - us trying to vary the gene pool to create the strongest offspring.

I experienced it recently when I did a gig (I sing in a band sometimes) and I was on stage and suddenly realised that there were blokes dribbling in the front row. We took a break and lots of them were trying to buy me drinks, despite the fact that my DH was the guitarist standing ten yards away (pissing himself laughing) and I had a three month old baby who kept being brought in during breaks for cuddles . So you see, men are equally weird in terms of fancying what they can't have!

guyFAwkesreQuiem · 06/11/2008 21:27

just don't scroll down the page at look at Mr Podesta

LadyG · 06/11/2008 21:33

Agree spokette had same naughty thoughts myself. The real West Wing's going to be hotter than the fictional one. I heart Michelle too-what a cool woman and their body language-so obviously still in love!

ToughDaddy · 06/11/2008 21:44

WhomovedChoc- i completely miscalculated on the bastard-thing. In future I'll aim to be like Christian ; subject to genetics of course.

Suedonim · 06/11/2008 21:48

So you've had Prezza's love-child, WMMC? I'd never have thought it of you!

whomovedmychocolate · 06/11/2008 22:26

I have no idea who that is tough daddy!

Worse than that suedonim!

ToughDaddy · 06/11/2008 22:30

WMMC- that's Christian from Nip/Tuck- he is a real bastard ...but really a good guy underneath...nice challenge for the girls
