pregnant woman pleads for release from Russian prison

here Have just read this in the Sunday Times - how awful! Imagine being in her position,it makes me want to weep

the poor woman, I feel so sorry for her and her family.

don't know enough about russian law to comment really. feel sorry for her family and soon to be born child, but if she is guilty (as i said don't know enough about the situation to make a judgment) then i don't see why being pregnant shuld allow her special treatment over other prisoners with regards to anything other than medical attention/support which is obviously needed for the birth/preparation.
