Oh dear, I hadn't realised that was the result - obv too good to be true then. Christ, what terrible false hope, poor woman.

A sad story, but I rather feel for the little girl they found, her mother who was arrested (for kidnapping) and all the other people who are being accused of child snatching their own relatives. What an awful accusation (probably had to be made, but could have been done with more sensitivity).

FWIW many children speak different languages to their parents, it proves nothing.

Terribly, terribly sad. Poor women, both of them.

It's only too clear why she didn't immediately rush to the airport. I wonder how many times that has happened to her in the last 4 years? What an awful thing to live with.

All the fuss over the McCanns, were they wrong, blah blah... I look over at dd and I can't imagine being without her, not knowing exactly where she is and who she is with even for 5 minutes. I don't know how any of these parents make it through each day...

I wish there could be a happy ending to these stories

Okay old thread I know but although I find this sad I don't know anyone in that situation and pray that I never do must be the worst part not knowing.

On the otherhand the bloody 'Italy's Madeleine McCann' annoys me why is it that every child who goes missing is refferred to as though they have something to with that poor little girl she is not a stereo type or poster child for missing children she is simply one of millions of children who go missing all the time. And considering she went missing 3 years before Madeleine what did they refer to the little girl as before or did no one give a crap until they realised that missing kids sell stories?
