here

Is it just me, or is that really bizarre - I mean with this recent wet weather there must be lots of puddles around, and if you were to try and avoid all of them (to keep the pedestrians dry) the risk of causing an accident must be quite high???

Good!

It's bloody horrible when drivers speed through puddles and soak pedestrains in filhy water, and it IS in the highway code not to do it. It's the drivers' problem to deal with the road situation - and slow down or wait until they can safely swerve - not to say 'it's the pedestrains problem that I have a puddle in MY way, so the pedestrain just has to get soaked to the skin while I speed happily on my way'.

And I'm a driver. I always try not to splash pedestrians.

But I make sure I stay over the other side of the pavement when walking past puddles!
