Wasn't Hilary originally a boys name? Like Tracy?

Furball · 21/02/2005 20:12

Yes Hilary, what about Dr Hilary Jones? and Shirley Crabtree was 'Big Daddy' the wrestler

emargo · 21/02/2005 20:35

The Brook-lyn talk reminds me of Emlyn (sp?) Hughes whose children were called Emlyn and Emma-Lyn

SofiaAmes · 21/02/2005 21:12

I think it's a lovely name...certainly a lot better than all the boring names you usually hear.

So, she's had the baba? Poor little sod, but to be honest, they never were going to give him a 'normal' name where they? Personally, I think all the names they have chosen are horrible, but like someone else said, wouldn't the world be boring if we were all the same?

I dont dislike it and really it's none of my business but there are so many fantastic Spanish names, I just wonder how they came up with it.

The worst I have ever heard ws on abus when the mum in a loud brummie accent called out to her kids, Mercedes and Corera( type of car soz about spelling) perhaps she also had a Bentley and ford focus at home, mieow!

ooh Lockets, Thea is what we were going to call our last baby but came out a boy so had to rethink . I love it!!!

pixel · 22/02/2005 10:49

I once met a little boy called Maclaren. You could tell it was his dad's idea and his mum wasn't 100% sure, because she immediately blurted out "That's the car, not the pram!"

Oh, and I like Thea too!

WestCountryLass · 22/02/2005 14:38

I wanted my kids to have more unusual names but DH caught me in moments of weakness after both deliveries so we are very middle of the road here.
