not shocking to me as have been thru battles with nhs. she is doing the right thing by publicising it, and i'm sure she'll get her drugs now. the shocking thing is that we have to put ourselves through the media mill to get action.

It sounds as though the GP took this decision rather than the primary care trust or NICE as is usually the case with expensive drugs. Strange that they did this, GPs do usually prescribe at the recommendation of hospital consultants.
