I did have a laugh earlier this year. A good friend of mine is a managing director in his 40's with the usual cut glass accent, house in Kew and private education, yadda yadda. Anyway, he got royally turned over by his boss - completely illegal behaviour. Grounds for constructive dismissal, unfair dismissal, the lot.
Over a bottle of wine we did laugh over the fact that because he couldn't cite a single 'minority' in which he belonged, he was totally stuffed because any tribunal payout would be minimal. We thought briefly about whether he could have gone for 'gender orientation' as a means of claiming discrimination, but he didn't think his wife would play ball..
