I'm no fan of Jordan but I can't help but see this as a horrible sign of our nasty, class-obsessed society.

So the club Chinawhite is involved with the Polo "do"?

Not exactly a big fan of Jordan/Katie Price either but she has done well for herself, not inherited her wealth with no effort. I've seen her pony books on the shelves while buying the Astrosaurs for my dts, there are tons of them and was there not a programme years ago when she was doing something with horses (calm down, I mean dressage or something like that.) So she obviously knows her horses.

My friend said she was going for the Olympics with horse-riding but that can't be right...can it?

Yes, it is - she did well in a dressage comp recently and hopes to be a contender for 2012. (I did a thread on her meself recently )

She tried to get in some other way before going for a Chinawhite table though, StG.

Polo is a lot less snobby generally now at local clubs round here you can use their horses to learn - I bet Jordan will do a documentary about learning to play - she's had great publicity for it!!

I saw a write up of Jordan at a dressage competition in a horse mag, and it was really complementary about her, so not the horsy people generally being snobby, more this particular venue/club.

apparentley told she was 'not the kind of person they wanted' when her manager tried to book a £6,000 table in the marquee hosted by nightclub Chinawhite in Windsor Great Park.

Perhaps because she is so knowledgeable about horses that she would have showed all the other invitees up??

Is that why they didn't want her maybe?
