Agree, the place needs to be shut down. Or, at the very least, mothers and children should not be sent there.

Yarls Wood is beyond a disgrace! As most of you know I've been campaigning with Nursing Matters since the case of Janipher Maseko.

Jesus, we have gone back 100 years, locking children up with their parents. It makes me so ashamed to be British.

oh god how frightening for the mother and how awful for the poor baby. A terrible abuse of basic human rights.

This is awful, find it hard to understand how this can be allowed to happen.

what can we do?

Write to your MP, make a fuss. Let them know that you - as a constituent - are not happy, and this needs to be raised as an issue in the House of Commons.

I've written to my MP who is jolly good about raising matters on behalf of constituents. Hoping I hear back soon (although it's the recess now, obviously).
