I lived almost exclusively on cottage cheese and bagels. DD won't touch them.

blob, that is hilarious.

Eyeballs, I've found the krispy kreme to be a fantastic finger food, really great for BLW

Personally, I've found absolutely zero correlation between my diet in pregnancy or bf and DS's preferences. For example, he loves grapes and I can't stand them.

So there.

I ate currys non stop with ds2 - all through my pregnancy and during 13 months of breastfeeding. He's 4 now and loves spicy food. He has chillie sauce on everything!

All three of mine like the same sort of food as me: olives, anchovies, shellfish, salami......

TwoIfBySea · 18/07/2008 18:59

I ate loads of broccoli and cauliflower when pregnant and they are the only two veggies that dts can't stand!

I did also eat copious amounts of tuna and banana on toast and they love both, but not at the same time.

I think it is true. I eat a lot of veg and I don't eat meat, only fish. DD loves all veg, broccoli and all and loves fish but not at all keen on meat. DS the same until he hit about two and then went off all foods that are not pale beige or orange and covered in breadcrumbs. I breastfed both for 5 and 14 months respectively.

Thisismynewname · 18/07/2008 20:05

That's all well and good but I went right off green vegetables when I was preggers and I used to eat loads of them.

More pressure on pregnant women to "do the right thing."

BouncingTurtle · 18/07/2008 21:45

I read that title and thought BOLLOX.
But I see Oliveoil has already beaten me to it

How does this explain the fact that despite the fact I think broccoli is vile, that my ds loves the stuff to the point he gets very excited if I wave some at him when we are shopping! I put it in front of him and he immediately starts stuffing it in his face????

Erm, better put the chocolate spread I'm spooning into my mouth back in the cupboard

saffiw · 25/10/2008 14:39

what a crock.
My mam apparently craved tinned tomatoes whilst pregnant. I HATE tinned tomatoes ... I would rather eat vomit.

ThingOne · 25/10/2008 15:19

I've always eaten lots of fruit and veg. I have one child that eats no fruit and one who eats no veg (he makes an exception for chips). I ate loads of chocolate. Neither of them will touch it. I breastfed mine for a long time so they had a lot more than nine months of my diet. They barely eat fish outside of fish fingers and I've always eaten stacks of that too.

And all these fussinesses despite being offered everything a squillion times.

Acinonyx · 25/10/2008 21:55

I eat curries or other spicy food most days but dd won't touch them. We are doomed never to eat the same meals.
