20% rise in abortions for under 14's

I am crap at links, but heard this on the news on radio 4

I think it said that this year there has been a rise of about 2.5% overall, but 20% rise in those 14 and under

I was 14 when I fell pg with ds1, but even so I have no idea what can be done to prevent these unwanted pregnancies

What would you need as qualifications to get in?

What about the boys tho? - these pg's aren't ALL down to the girls, they do need a bit of help...

Shouldn't boys be getting educated to think about who they impregnate a bit more - after all it's their potential offspring too that are put in the mix.

IMO boys/men generally aren't held accountable enough for the children they help create. I think that in The Netherlands they focus on the boys too, making them see the connection between one night of fun (or many) and the consequences of their actions, encouraging boys to take responsibility for contraception too.

cazboldy it was 18 additional 11, 12 & 13 year olds. So the very, very youngest. PG in this group is obviously still very rare. Much higher rates for older teenagers obviously.
