I'm very sad to see the POTUS is threatening tariffs to countries who don't support the US annexation of Greenland.

Am I unrealistic to hope many will, nevertheless, dissent?

Trump's latest message to the Norwegian PM is utterly demented. He has serious mental health issues. I don't know is it dementia but there's definitely a bit of megalomaia in there. In the normal course of events you would think he would be impeached but honestly, nobody seems willing to stand up to him in the US.

Even if the EU negotiates - and France isn’t showing any signs of giving in - I’m not sure the Scands will. They can act as a bloc and are standing together.

(Anyone else who would welcome Scandi overlords at this point?? We were so close to being Scandi. Finnish especially welcome. 😁)
