...sky news would almost make sense but seriously.
I am as happy to have a bit of celebrity gossip as the next person but these two twonks are being treated like they have found the cure for cancer.
Do I have to avoid all news output for the next week to avoid this drivel

I turned the television off when it seemed that this wedding was being hailed as the event of the year. Why?? He's only a footballer. I do find that the news is becoming dumbed down to cater for perceived celebrity worship, whereas the reality is that the vast majority of us are just not interested.

At the risk of sounding like some sort of paranoid nut, I agree with Freckle but will take it further. EVERYTHING is being dumbed down - education, news, the whole shebang, in order to sap as many brain cells from us and more importantly from our children as possible. Then people are less likely to question governmental policy and use their brains to analyse what is going on in the world and put up a fight for our rights.

Sorry, I know it sounds like some kind of ridiculous conspiracy theory, but I truly believe this is all part of the master plan for control over the masses.

When this was on the BBC news yesterday, I turned to dh in amazement and said "I can't believe how much coverage this is getting - this is non-news"

And he quite agreed

Just think of the money they could have raised for a worthwhile charity (not themselves), how sad.

this is why I have given up watching the tv pretty much (except Nick junior )
give it up and just listen to R4 pagwatch you know it makes sense

He doesn't even look as though he does joined up thinking ....
