A lot of non news stories around now - clearly not much happening.

Surely it's been known for centuries that the vast majority of murders involve people who are known to each other. Usually closely.

More children are killed by their parents than strangers. Tbh domestic violence is very hard to get rid of—very few outsiders can really understand what goes on in a private home, thus family violence is hard to prevent

Back in the 90s when the paedosteria was ramping up, it was often pointed out that if you wanted to keep kids safe from sex predators then the would be far safer roaming the streets than being cooped up indoors with family. Another one to file in the "we don't do evidence based policy" folder.
