Here
Seems a shame she feels the need to do it so soon.
Does anyone know if its true? Its meant to be shown tomorrow, but cant find any times/chanels.

Oh God I hope that isn't true.

NO no no nono nono.

Bad bad idea to do this, will be a freakshow. I don't think she is well enough to do this, nor to even make the decision. Someone should be looking after her, but if that were the case, all this never would have happened.

I won't be watching.

flubdub · 25/05/2008 20:24

Thats what i said, that surely shes not well yet, but unfortunately, they have to pay for their own treatment, which will be thousands.
They will need the money. Its so sad.

No, it's not true.

Divastrop · 25/05/2008 20:32

thats awful.will she ever have her freedom?

WendyWeber · 25/05/2008 20:33

Maybe she does feel the need herself - apart from the financial aspect; I bet she has a lot of pent-up loathing to vent, it may even be good for her.

I can't imagine the hospital is pressing for payment and even if it was, there must be lots of people willing to help out with costs.

(I won't be watching it either, WT)

The family's lawyer has said it is just made up.

dinny · 25/05/2008 20:43

lawyer would say that

beaniesteve · 25/05/2008 20:50

It's not true. They are in the process of adding up all Fritzl's (the father)wealth to see if their care can be funded that way.

WendyWeber · 25/05/2008 20:57

Telegraph report says the state will cover the costs of treatment but that the father will be sued for future living costs.

beaniesteve · 26/05/2008 11:05

I think it's so sad that the three 'upstairs' children have been taken away from their normal lives and now have to live i the clinic. Could be quite damaging for them.

Fillyjonk · 26/05/2008 11:07

they have to pay for their own fkn treatment?

how obscene is that?

mybrainaches · 26/05/2008 11:07

I thought a fund had been set up for her and her children?

SSSandy2 · 26/05/2008 11:12

They're in Austria. The medical care will be covered by the state, they will be able to get benefits for living costs if they are not in a condition to work and the dc need to catch up on their education as well as everything else. As in all benefit cases, the state first investigates whether there is anyone who should be contributing to their upkeep (ie the parents) and I read the father owned various properties in the area so he may be obliged to sell some to contribute towards the upkeep of his dc etc. I think it's just sensational reporting.

If she does the telly interview (for money or other reasons), I hope she/her advisors are clever enough to obscure her face in some way and possibly even alter her voice digitally. The last thing she needs is to be recognisable in public.
