What ARE they expecting from 8 months as a club in upheaval??

Who do you want in charge at the bridge next foxinsocks? And who do you think it will be?

Pretty much every top level manager's name is in the hat if you believe the papers... even the return of jose (!)

As for captain of England? Got to be Gerrard no? He hasn't exactly put a foot wrong. I am very far from being a Terry fan myself (of course!).

foxinsocks · 26/05/2008 11:05

I don't know.

Can't believe Mourinho would come back but he hasn't been ruled out by those we know at the club which personally, I find quite bizarre.

I must admit, although Roman has brought in cash and with that cash success has come, it is crap feeling that you are a rich man's play thing (though let's not kid ourselves, every main team is now like this whether it's through shareholders or one or two well off owners and at least Roman likes his football!). I hope he appoints a proper coach this time, one with a bit of experience!

dh wants Bilic if he can't have Mourinho. I DON'T want Sven, that's for sure.

I think Mourinho can't come back surely, would make Roman look a fool for a start.

I also agree with you on Sven, he's just lacking that final notch and bit of charisma that is required for that job I think. Hiddink or Rijkaard (sp?) maybe best for the job.

expatinscotland · 26/05/2008 11:11

Who is he?

I'm sure he'll be given a golden handshake as a farewell.

theBOD · 26/05/2008 11:11

i'm talking about the white heart lane thriller this year where a.cole did that tackle, wasn't sent off and refused to acknowledge the ref just standing with his back to him (which in itself should have warranted another booking).
admittedly this was Chelsea at their worst and there was some improvment following this. however their petulance reared it's head again in Moscow with good old JT leading the pack again (i think consisting of Ballack and another) in surrounding and trying to intimidate Tevz before Drogba got himself sent off for a petulant slap on Vidic and ending in what appears to be JT spitting on Tevez (although the eufa enquiry is still on going so i will reserve judgment on that incident). Essentially Chelsea back to their normal behaviour.

aDad · 26/05/2008 11:12

Grant got a £5.2 million pay off I think!

After 8 months in charge!! Not bad

theBOD · 26/05/2008 11:13

for what it's worth i'd say Hiddink would be the best for the job by far but i don't think he'll take it.
i'd imagine Roman would like Ryjkaard as he is desperate for a CL and Ryjkaard is a previous winner where as Mancini is not.

foxinsocks · 26/05/2008 11:16

I cannot be arsed to sit here and pick apart every dire epidsode of Manc behaviour on the pitch, needless to say your attitude to the ref starts with your manager who has no respect for them whatsoever

how about hargreaves shoving the ref in the back on wed night (in the drogba incident)? vidic raised his hands to terry and evra and terez both punched chelsea players in that game with nothing resulting from that

oh sorry, you were only looking for our players doing stuff weren't you

foxinsocks · 26/05/2008 11:34

anyway, if we'd won that game, I wouldn't have cared one bit and with that, I must MUST go and tidy the house which is in a state grrr

(I care a lot less about football than I used to. Have passed the season ticket onto my son and he now goes with his dad!)
