I still can't believe she is gone.

What an amazing person.

When did she die? I was in Ireland when she did her harrowing interview about death but didn't realise that she had actually died

she died 9 May.

i cried.

Thanks for this, I really admired her too. She and Nell McCafferty were my teen heroines, there were so few people in Ireland telling it like it was.

i hope she got to know, before she left this life, how much her work impacted others.

how sharing her story and her words affected and changed other peoples' lives.

how her writing brought her country to life for so many.

she was able to look at herself and share herself with such honesty, you couldn't help admiring her and the country that produced her.
