plenty of dinny's do live in london, as revealed by this vote.

dinny · 03/05/2008 00:08

what are "dinny's", then?

foxinsocks · 03/05/2008 00:09

that's your opinion merry. The majority of london didn't agree .

It will be strange times I think, in this great city.

Right, I'm off to bed now.

foxinsocks · 03/05/2008 00:10

he is a buffoon. But he has a brain. Let's all just keep our bloody fingers crossed that he remembers how to use it.

Night all.

dinny · 03/05/2008 00:14

he's got an amzing team behind him - that speaks volumes about his political prowess

Bendi · 03/05/2008 00:25

From the frozen North, good luck with that one!

onebatmother · 03/05/2008 00:28

Oh, God, just heard.

Really, people are fucking idiots.

I honestly think that people shouldn't get the vote without some proof that they understand what 'the vote' means. I know that sounds like the sentiment of a madwoman, but really, for crying out fucking loud.

I remember this feeling from NINETEEN FUCKING SEVENTY NINE.

And I am only 40.

nancy75 · 03/05/2008 00:29

onebatmother, if people can only vote for a candidate you want, its not strictly speaking democratic isit?!

onebatmother · 03/05/2008 00:30

Oh poor Ken, I'm watching his closing speech now. Brilliant speech. Brilliant.

Remember when the bombs went off?

London has really fucked up.

dinny · 03/05/2008 00:31

Nancy - a. they count 2nd pref
b, you wouldn't say that if Ken won? did you say that last election?

edam · 03/05/2008 00:31

We-ell, it's going to be bloody interesting with Boris in charge, at least. And Ken deserved to be turfed out.

Kevlarhead · 03/05/2008 00:31

Yeah... a more democratic vote needs a 'none of the above' option.

dinny · 03/05/2008 00:32

Edam, thank goodness

just time Ken was over

dinny · 03/05/2008 00:33

sorrree, dropped phone on keyboard

onebatmother · 03/05/2008 00:33

nancy75, I don't believe that's what I demanded - I suggested that people might be required to have a very simple political education before voting.

Though I have expressed my doubts about democracy as it stands, earlier on the thread ..

Ledodgy · 03/05/2008 00:34

ROFL but then I don't live in london.
