in purple
dont know if its significant or if denotes that there is touch of tory in there (red and blue makes..)
why has official labour candidate not using red, isnt this odd tad confusing for us simpleton voters?

there is an english democrat called O'Connor!!

Boris wants to 'beef up' the police presence
why not just increase? or is it beefier, hunkier cops were gonna get..gym memberships all round at scotland yard, taking ab measurements as well as height ones!
his picture is truly hopeless, he looks down at piece of paper whilst another hand with pen points to what he should look at...

lindsey german looks about 86 in her picture
will she make it to may 1st i wonder..

ukip bloke looks like a clean cut thuggish type and their logo is like a pound shop symbol

scary tanned christian fellow holds his wife tight in forearm necklock
though i love the
"end the (alleged) corruption at city hall" line

well, its given me a larf this lunchtime
though still not feel inspired to vote for any of them

I know dee, we had this extremely informative booklet through the post the other day
Fascinating reading, unfortunately for all the wrong reasons

DeeRiguer · 24/04/2008 14:14

why is ken purple though?
he's official this time or did he forget or does he want us to forget..

am strangely drawn to ken's picture it has hypnotic quality
mild fish eye lens employed and uber shiny nose
and 'wide mouth frog' comes to mind

MrsTweedy · 24/04/2008 14:53

I'm not going to be able to stop thinking of Ken as a wide-mouthed frog now!

Just looked at the leaflet again & Tthe guy from the eNGLISH dEMOCRATS (who the hell are they??) looks like he's used a still from an unsuccessful pop video from the 80's

DeeRiguer · 24/04/2008 17:25

mrstweedy
what are they about? yes, a cure wanna be or some such, i suspect he wiped his lippy off for the photie

oh its just awful

am pmsl at this now after your guide dee! bors could have brushed his hair!

weasle · 24/04/2008 17:39

in fact, am crying with laughter now i';ve got to the 80s reject.

and i thought it was just ken v boris!

actually the green party helpfully spell out my strategy - vote green for 1st vote, then 'least worst' (IMHO ken) as 2nd vote.

MrsTweedy · 24/04/2008 18:15

I think the Greens are going to pick up a lot of votes just because they seem the most sane.

DeeRiguer · 24/04/2008 19:05

i hope the greens do get some votes they are sane so they probably wont, sadly

but why is she (sian) looking off the to the side though and it also seems slightly out of register on my copy
and ultimately its mainly dentistry that comes to mind when i see the picture

isnt brian paddick's mouth a bit cartoony, like homer simpsons? he seems poised mid word, or maybe that is his look..

if they cant get their picture right, what chance does the capital have

OP posts:
MrsTweedy · 24/04/2008 19:16

Sian looks a bit flirty, are Greens allowed to be flirty?

Am PMSL at the finger pointing out something to Boris...Curly C is for Congestion Charge...

LaComtesse · 24/04/2008 19:17

I'm a little disturbed that the BNP are all over it . Plus that we're likely to end up with the candidate that no-one actually wants due to the wonder of PR .

policywonk · 24/04/2008 19:20

I thought you lived up North, Dee?

I am Surrey and thus can't vote. Am thinking of trawling apathetic Londoners and asking whether they'd mind me voting for them (would probably go for Ken, on balance).

DeeRiguer · 24/04/2008 19:33

will boris give us 'more bang for our buck'?
jeeso, did anyone proof read this copy..

do you think they will have photos on the ballot paper,
like journos do on their columns these days

Yes, wonderful, isn't it! English Democrat named O'Connor complaining about the amount of money spent on St Patrick's Day.

The UKIP bus spends a lot of time driving up Streatham High Road at the moment - can't think why. Has it been seen anywhere else?

But, DeeRiguer, you have to vote to keep the BNP out, don't you know? You don't have to feel inspired, but closing your eyes and thinking of England is highly inadvisable .

policywonk · 24/04/2008 20:03

Why the chuff did I think you were in the north?

And why are the BNP targeting Streatham? It's hardly fertile ground for them, is it? (Or is it?)

Hallgerda · 24/04/2008 20:11

No, it's UKIP that are targeting Streatham, policywonk. Wouldn't have thought it was fertile ground for them either, mind you.

policywonk · 24/04/2008 20:18

Oh dear sorry. Didn't read properly.

DeeRiguer · 24/04/2008 20:53

lol hallgerda, 'lie back and think of england' am scottish
pw..adjust your dossier

surprised at ukip in streatham (was sarf of the river many years, down brixton way)
actually have seen no canvassers of any description ..shame as i like a barney healthy political discussion!

yeh probably will vote and i know i should haunting thoughts of suffragettes n'all

but a dearth of choice this lot
