I used to spend time in the Far East and know characters who are based out there, and who told me about the area in which Matthew Kelly owned his property being the area for let's say disgusting behaviour.

Well of course spending time in the Far East means you have total knowledge of who is engaging in criminal behaviour and who isnt.

So if you and these people you know visit these countries that is legitimate, but if others do they must obviously be criminals.

And I'm laughing at the idea of them knowing off hand the areas where the 'disgusting behaviour' goes on.

All charges against Matthew Kelly were dropped. But obviously Beenleigh knows better than the criminal justice system.

Sometimes the issues aren't as clear cut. In some US states things like oral and anal sex are illegal. In others you can marry at 14 (as indeed the Catholic church code of canon law allows). So some acts are lawful in some places but not in others. Gays used to have to go to countries where it wasn't a criminal offence when it was so here. Prevailing morality and law change from time to time but certainly anyone not prosecuted successfully is innocent until proven guilty.
