I was wondering how he was getting on since the news of the incident came out last week. So sad. Poor man, just doing his job and trying to help others.

This is a stark reminder of what the emergency services do when called upon. It's very easy to criticise the police, but on an individual level there are so many brave and dedicated officers.

That poor brave man. So sad for his family, his colleagues who witnessed the accident, and the driver who could not have prevented it.

Unlike other threads.

This man had a family , and gave his life to try and save someone else's (which he did )

apparently 75 officers also injured in various ways at Notting Hill carnival too, one (I assume female) sexually assaulted!

God that is so sad. The public expect so much from the Police and this young man has given his life. What a hero 🥲
