Teenage boy is nominated as carnival queen and get death threats

This story is bonkers in all sorts of ways. Firstly, having a carnival queen, secondly, not seen the funny side of a boy being it. Thirdly, the poor boy, getting death threats and now making them ambassadors.

Honestly, the comments from some of the locals as well are just brilliant.

I also live in Hampshire and our town also has a Carnival Queen.
I would like to think they would have a Carnival King is needed, they certainly have young boy attendants.
