My year 9s did the USGS one as well today in our lesson. It was very kind of the earthquake to happen right in the middle of our topic on Natural Hazards, we 'did' the Kobe quake earlier in the week so this was a good comparison

DH used to work them, a more useless load of self-important, lazy, pointless... [deep breath] needless to say he's back in the private sector now. (And it's not true of all of them)
