What a backwards step. The government didn't need to do this.

Why ? There's no need in this day and age .

We could all boycott animal yested products .
I know some of my previous choices are now selling in China so I don't buy them which makes the searching more difficult .

Huge step backwards .

I did read the link but stopped before the picture so I don't know what it is , you might want to put a warning on your link if it's an image of animal vivisection.

Thank you for raising this .

WARNING - THE LINK CONTAINS AN IMAGE OF ANIMAL VIVISECTION

@70isaLimitNotaTarget Thank you for saying about the warning. I don't know how to do this but have reported my thread and asked Mumsnet if they can do it/tell me how.

I'm so angry about this change. Banning animal testing for make up was such a big achievement and now this.

Please don't buy from companies that test on animals. If they suffer losses or go out of business, it can stop this practice. There's no reason to support the horrors of animal testing and people are so much more aware of this now. Lidls Cien ranges are cruelty free for cheap alternatives. I buy SMOL plastic and cruelty free household cleaners. Check out this Web link for all the companies we should avoid. https://www.crueltyfreekitty.com/companies-that-test-on-animals/

What companies are doing this? I do not want to buy cosmetics tested on animals and will happily vote with my wallet. It’s unnecessary and cruel.

ChaToilLeam · 17/05/2023 17:36

Just saw your link @SilentHedges - thank you!

Can I just check (without reading the article) - it’s not going to be illegal to not test on animals is it? I.e. the cruelty free Kitty advice on cruelty free brands will remain true to no animal testing?

Just saw your link @SilentHedges - thank you!

😊

For anyone else needing cruelty free links, and to make it easy, I order all my cosmetics from MyPure so I know it's cruelty free (and comes in eco packaging) https://www.mypure.co.uk/collections/skin
