no, they don't..hope he's ok

Hulababy · 25/01/2008 09:50

Oh dear; I hope he is okay. They certainly don't seem to have any luck with their babies first few weeks do they?

Flier · 25/01/2008 09:51

oh no, hope he's ok.

marina · 25/01/2008 09:52

At this time of year I'd guess bronchiolitis, which is rotten and scary but usually responds promptly to treatment
I hope that is "all" it is, that poor couple
Hope he recovers really quickly

DrNortherner · 25/01/2008 09:54

But would he be in Great Ormond Sreet for that Marina?

OP posts:
marina · 25/01/2008 10:01

Well, normally, no, I agree DrN.
I for one would not begrudge them pulling a few strings to get best possible care for their son after all they have been through...but there again they have displayed trust and faith in their local, Frimley Park, haven't they
Oh dear that doesn't sound so good does it
Could it be they were up in town when he was taken ill maybe
Am also thinking of J Depp and his little dd with HUS - that could have been treated at eg Guys/Evelina but she was taken to GOSH. With their international reputation perhaps there is an assumption by celebrities that it's the only children's hospital of note in London?

MaryAnnSingleton · 25/01/2008 10:03

maybe it's croup ?

DrNortherner · 25/01/2008 10:03

Yes I agree, being royals they could have pulled a few strings and don't want to take any chances. I hope it is nothing serious.

marina I completely agree with you as someone who has worked in paeds in london all my career it still seems gosh is the only children's hospital in the country

NAB3wishesfor2008 · 25/01/2008 13:35

Fingers crossed he is okay.

Has made me teary. He is only 5 weeks old.

Peachy · 25/01/2008 13:39

Poor little mite, and poor aprents. Fingers crossed all is OK

cupsoftea · 25/01/2008 14:05

hope he'll be fine & home soon xxx - what a stressful time for the family

NorthernLurker · 25/01/2008 14:09

Isn't it a shame for them - I agree with Marina that considering his age and time of year bronchiolitis is the most likely - or I suppose it could be tests to rule out meningitis - if he is feverish etc. I think they're at GOSH because it's probably easier to treat them there in privacy than at a general NHS hospital. Well I hope that's the reason anyway

RTKangaMummy · 25/01/2008 14:10

+++++++++++ vibes to them all

NAB3wishesfor2008 · 25/01/2008 19:00

Baby James has had a minor allergic reaction. Doesn't sound too serious thank goodness.

Piffle · 25/01/2008 19:53

2 nights in GOS for a minor allergic reaction...

cupsoftea · 25/01/2008 20:47

How worrying for the parents - hope he's better soon xxx

Hulababy · 25/01/2008 20:48

I guess they are just playing down whtever it was that worried them in the first place.

deste · 25/01/2008 22:31

Has anyone seen hide nor hair of the elder daughter. There was a problem when she was born.

WestCountryLass · 25/01/2008 22:49
