I feel very sorry for her. And she is capable of singing with soul and Back to Black is a great song. Any live performances i've heard haven't been great but i think that may be the drugs and drinks. The man sounds like a sh*t, I hope she can get herself sorted.

I Googled this story and the source appears to be Amy's father. Don't really know much about him but enough to put this in the "pinch of salt" category.

Amy Winehouse - sensational singer, fab songs (though wish she'd write about stuff other than drug taking and sex and not use so many sweary words). Feel very sorry for her, I do. Hope she sorts herself out and gets back to peak performance.

If her marriage has gone down the pan it's probably a good thing for her in the long run but short term, it won't feel like it .

I think she's fab. Really really talented, have been listening to 1st album all over Xmas. Reminds me of all that old Tamla Motown/Supremes/Mary Wells stuff, also def. echoes of Billie Holliday.

I wonder whether those who dislike her - and especially those who compare her to Dido - have ever listened to her lyrics? She's absolutely filthy and very funny in parts.

He is wel known for doing this. Regularly got together with clean women, got them involved in drugs and then effed off when they became too much trouble. He is such a skank.

Hurrah for Amy. She's absolutely astonishingly talented as a singer and as a songwriter (Greeny do have a proper listen! - pre tabloid troubles - those albums are great - Back to Black is a stunning song - You Sent Me Flying is jazz singing at its greatest).

I've thought for a while that her problem is being young and emotional and naive and getting ridiculously attached to this user and loser and then having the misfortune to end up married to him and dependent on him and various substances. Horrible and tragic but it does not put her in the category of talentless waste of space. I really hope she survives this and can later look back on it from a position of strength.

Haven't we all been hung up on some undeserving twat in our youth and undervalued ourselves? She just needs to get free of him.

I love Amy's music, I may not agree with her lifestyle or some of the choices she made but her voice, her talent is fabulous.
